COOPERS REUNION - 2005 Reserves Premiership - Sat August 8
The Western Magpies 2005 Reserves Premiership team will be having their 10 year reunion at Saturday's match against Palm Beach-Currumbin.
Coached by Andrew Farr, the Pies Reserves won resoundingly over Springwood at Coorparoo, 11.9 - 75 to 5.13 - 43.
A gale was blowing throughout the match and reports indicate that it was almost impossible to kick against the wind, and in fact some kicks were blown backwards.
Captained by Luke Knight, rover Mitch Berding was named Best on Ground, just pipping CHB Gabe McKinnon.
Players in the Premiership were:
Luke Knight (capt), Brad Wright, Gabe McKinnon, Rob McNaughton, Mitch Berding, Craig Bardon, Brad Rantall, Ben Rantall, Steve Cook, Sean Mewing, Rob Wilson, Daniel Quinn, David Fozard, Jim Somerville, John Bartel, David Beavis, John McAdam, Peter Fardon, Michael Lyons & James Dobson.
Brett McEvoy (hamstring) and Leigh Rudd (broken leg) both missed out and Ryan Shaw and Chris Keane were left out of the selected side.
(NOTE: There are no photos available of this side and also the team as named has been unable to be located - any errors above, or if anyone has some photos of the team, please contact Football Director - Peter McClennan)

Coopers Pale Ale - Coopers Pale Ale The Original Pale Ale. Beware of pale imitations. Guaranteed to turn heads, this is the beer that inspired a new generation of ale drinkers. With its fruity and floral characters, balanced with a crisp bitterness, Coopers Pale Ale has a compelling flavour which is perfect for every occasion.
Coopers Mild Ale - Finally, someone brewed a midstrength beer with flavour. Mild Ale is brewed with a selection of barley and wheat malt, and with no added sugar. Smooth malt character balanced by a triple hopping with Pride of Ringwood and Saaz hops.
