METIS WEALTH MATCH PREVIEW - Reserves vs Palm Beach Round 15
RESERVES DEPTH TO BE TESTED
The Western Magpies Reserves will have their depth tested when they play Palm Beach-Currumbin at Chelmer on Saturday.
The team will be missing Luke de Nys and Joel Workman, both rested after several head knocks recently, Jadan Morton with a slight hamstring strain and Jamie Page with illness.
Matt Hockley is unavailable due to work commitments. The two changes in the Seniors did not result in any players dropping back, however the side will welcome back half back Nathan Morrow.
The team will look to consistent performers in the experienced Gabe McKinnon and Sean McEvoy in defence, Bryce Crossley and Hunter Heath in midfield and well performed youngsters in Ben Hooper, Logan Murray and Matt Mazarollle also around ground.
Up forward speedsters Jake Heard and Jak Williams will need to be busy in the absence of a tall marking forward.
After looking the goods with a full list several weeks ago the Pies have struggled recently with injuries and unavailability affecting the strength of the team. The Pies need to compete strongly to finish the year on a good note and against the Lions who are also on the lower half of the ladder, still have a good chance to take the four points.
They will want to do well in front of the 2005 Reserves Premiership reunion crowd.
