JUNIOR FOOTBALL PATHWAY
The Sherwood Magpies Junior Australian Football Club is proud to provide a great, supportive and family orientated environment for kids of all ages to get involved in Australian Rules Football.
UNDER 8
Join the Sherwood Magpies Under 8s and play modified rules, with no tackle, smaller field size, 9-a-side teams, fun and safe!
UNDER 9, uNDER 9 gIRLS & UNDER 10
Your child will be introduced to tackling by using the ‘wrap tackle’. A modified version of tackling where players are ‘bear hugged’ and do not go to ground.
UNDER 11 (MIXED)
Your child will learn the correct tackling technique and begin to play full AFL rules on a 3/4 sized field.
UNDER 11 GIRLS
An All-Girls modified Under 11s competition, with a modified tackle, smaller field size, 9-a-side teams = fun and safe for all under 11 girls to join!
