COLTS CONSOLIDATE ON TOP OF THE LADDER
The Western Magpies Colts have had a comfortable 44 point victory over Morningside on Saturday to consolidate top spot on the QAFL Colts ladder
The Pies controlled the game from the first bounce and extended their lead at every change to win 12-6-78 to 4-10-34 to make amends for their shock loss to the Panthers early in the season.
Harrison Radcliffe enjoyed his recall to the side to be a fine defender and had good support from Ethan Sivijs off half back. Jacob Sheath and Sean Ryan were on top in the midfield and Cam Ferguson provided a target up forward to boot 3 goals. It was another great display of the Magpies depth with several key players out of the side due to representative honours, injury and other commitments.
The Magpies will now have their 5th bye this week due to Sandgates withdrawal from the competition, before taking on surfers Paradise the following week.
