Coopers - Woodsmen Match Preview

The Woodsmen dust themselves off after a hard fought Round 1 battle this week to head over to Yeronga to take on the Yeronga Senior side in Friday night Round 2 action.
As is often the case in the Woodies, there are wholesale changes to the side with last weeks best on ground Chris Brown (wedding), Lachlan Woods (away), Aleu Aleu (work) all unavailable and Hamish Campbell and Chris Davis promoted to the Reserves and Charlie Thorpe back to the Colts. Sam Curtis is also resting a niggle, as is Will Gillespie.
Into the side come Sam ‘Irish’ Banim, Matt Mazzerolle and Harry Radcliffe. There will also be 4 Woodsmen debutants in South Australian Harry Skipsaris, local lad Lachlan Pearson (on his birthday no less!), North Queensland product Nathan Evans and the experienced Matt ‘Doc’ Davis.
Many of the more experienced players coming into the Woodies side will be better for the run, acclimatising to night footy and the slippery nature of a dewy yellow football.
Harry Radcliffe will add plenty of athleticism to the ruck, while young Nathan Evans looks to have a hefty left leg on him that will do some damage. Sammy ‘Irish’ Banim is an excitement machine on a wing and pushing forward, while youngster and Colts Premiership player Abdullah Haddad has speed to burn
