MAGPIES COLTS FACE STERN TEST AGAINST WILSTON GRANGE
The Western Magpies Colts, currently third on the ladder, face a stern test against the second placed Wilston Grange at Stafford on Saturday morning.
Both team come off the bye and should be fresh but after the Pies recent intermittent matches where they have not had 2 games in a row some rustiness may be a concern.
The Pies welcome Mitchell O'Dea and he has speed to burn on the wing and young beanpole ruckman Samson Ryan impressed on debut a fortnight ago with some old time clever tap ruckwork. Chris Jenkins enjoyed his spell in the reserves last week and he will again be a livewire with other speedy forwards and on-ballers in Deng Arok, Dan Edwards and Noah Resuggan.
The backline looks solid with Whitlam Bishop and Chris Moloney leading the way and Jayden Johnson and Harry Keenan will be the forward targets.
It is a big match for the young Pies and if they can get the 4 points in this match it will set them up for a top two finish at season’s end.
